Marigo Kassi

Marigo Kassi studied painting, ceramics and she obtained a degree in Theoretical Art Studies, at the Athens School of Fine Arts (A.S.F.A.) from 1972 to 1978. She spent one year in Paris (1978-1979) and, between 1989 and 1992, pursued postgraduate studies in painting with a scholarship, from the State Scholarships Foundation (I.K.Y.). Since 1988, she has been teaching Visual Arts at Vakalo Art & Design College, where she is the Module Leader in Art Studies.

She won 1st place at the 8th Meeting of Young Creators (Ora Cultural Center, 1982). She was also awarded with distinction by the Greek A.I.C.A. in 2010 for the project of the visual group “Indoors,” of which she is a founding member.

She lives and works in Athens.

Marigo Kassi’s works can be found in public and private collections in Greece, France, Suisse, Cyprus and USA.

Studies

1975 – 1978   Degree in Ceramic Art.

1978 – 1979   Sojourn in Paris, studies in drawing.

1989 – 1992   Postgraduate studies in painting on a Greek government (ΙΚΥ).
